Brief Summary :
To commemorate World Head and Neck Cancer Day (27th July 2023), Department of Preventive Oncology and Varanasi Population-based Cancer Registry reached out to the high-risk population among the Bunkar (weaver) community of Varanasi for tobacco control and oral cancer prevention through screening camps and awareness sessions.
We also felicitated several of our frontline soldiers, ASHA workers, who actively spread the anti-tobacco message and early signs and symptoms of oral cancer in Varanasi.
