Brief Summary :

The UKM Head and Neck Oncology & Surgery Master Class was held on 19 and 20 July 2024 at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), co-organised by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the Department of Oncology & Radiotherapy. This event was held in conjunction with World Head and Neck Cancer Day, celebrated on 27 July.

The masterclass brought together specialists, master trainees, and residents for two days of comprehensive learning, focusing on the latest advances in oncology and surgical treatment of head and neck cancers. The diverse panel of speakers included ENT surgeons, oncologists, oral maxillofacial surgeons, plastic reconstructive surgeons, speech-language pathologists, and dietitians, offering participants a holistic view of multidisciplinary cancer care.

The sessions covered cutting-edge surgical techniques, oncology updates, and post-treatment rehabilitation, providing valuable insights into collaborative management of patients. Participants engaged actively in discussions and case-based learning sessions.
