The hands on course will teach participants transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) using the Lumenis CO2 laser AcuBlade and flexible CO2 laser fiber on human cadaveric specimens. Participants will be taught TLM for cancers of the glottic larynx, supraglottic larynx and hypopharynx using a variety of laryngoscopes and high powered microscopes with the Lumenis Digital AcuBlade micromanipulator. Transoral laser resection of tonsil and base of tongue cancers will be taught using the Lumenis flexible CO2 laser fiber and a variety of retractors. The 2 day course will consist of half day lectures and half day hands-on dissection on each day of the course. The program is limited to a maximum of 20 participants.
